Founding Designer

My client are looking for an experienced and visionary Founding Designer to lead the design efforts for an exciting AI-driven product at an innovative early-stage company. If you’re passionate about creating beautiful, user-centered products that combine cutting-edge AI technologies with intuitive, seamless user experiences, this is the role for you.

As their first design hire, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of their product, contribute to the overall product strategy, and drive innovation in AI-powered interfaces. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of AI/LLMs & be willing to work on site in New York for 2/3rds of the year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end product design, from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and final implementation.
• Collaborate closely with external partners and stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions that delight users and solve real-world problems.
• Develop and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency across products.
• Contribute to product decisions, shaping the design direction and ensuring the best possible user experience.
• Ensure accessibility and usability across all design solutions, adhering to best practices.
