Job Title: VP of Engineering

Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid – 2 days on-site)

Compensation: $170k–$220k + 1.0%–2.5% equity

They are looking for a VP of Engineering to lead and scale their technical team, driving the development of cutting-edge solutions for the nation’s top real estate brokerages.

Tech Stack

• Frontend: React with TypeScript, MaterialUI, Ant Design.
• Backend: Node.js, Express, MongoDB.
• Data Science: Python.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, and mentoring.
• Define and execute the technology roadmap, aligning it with business goals.
• Drive collaboration across product, design, and business teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of all systems and platforms.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Expertise in full-stack development and modern software architecture.
• Hands-on experience with the stated tech stack (React, Node.js, MongoDB, Python).
• Proven track record of scaling engineering teams and delivering high-quality products.
• Strong knowledge of agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
• Background in DevOps or data infrastructure.
