Senior WordPress Developer

We are working with an exciting start-up digital agency who are looking for an experienced full-stack Wordpress developer to join their team to lead the development of bespoke web applications with integrated subscription-based services aimed to maximise revenue for their clients.

You will take complete ownership of the development of these websites and will also be responsible for liaising with clients and understanding features they want adding before design and implementing these with the team. They will be looking for you to make strategic decisions and to design the architecture for each project as well as offering growth opportunities, as the company grows, to progress in to Head of Wordpress and will have an influence on the hires for the team around you.

What they want from you:

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience with WordPress
• Experience working with PHP (Laravel or Symfony)
• Experience with web application design and development
• Experience in making strategic decisions and with architectural design
• Experience reporting directly to senior leaders
• Experience mentoring and training junior devs
• Experience with back end development including rigorous architecture builds, API integrations and database integrations
