I’m partnering with a specialist Software Development Company, that build cutting-edge Azure solutions to elevate the data capabilities of a variety of market leaders in the financial services sector. They are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the Risk & Finance team and lead the design and development of solutions that enable them to meet their internal and external reporting requirements.

You will work in a collaborative, agile environment, ensuring the successful development of a new, cutting-edge data platform. The role offers a unique opportunity to be an integral part of the companies strategic transformation in the Risk & Finance domain.

The Key Responsibilities for the Senior Business Analyst:

• Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with key stakeholders, translating high-level requirements into clear business requirements, data models, and designs.
• Develop solutions that cater to both internal and external reporting needs while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the entire landscape across all areas of the Data.
• Conduct impact assessments for new requests and changes that affect Finance and Internal Reporting.
• Lead and facilitate discussions with relevant stakeholders to drive consensus and decision-making.
• Design and document data models for the data warehouse system to support efficient reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineering and BI teams to ensure data is structured and optimized for reporting and analysis (experience with DataVault and dimensional modelling is required).

The Successful Senior Business Analyst will need:

• At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, business consulting, product ownership, or business solution architecture.
• Proven experience working within the financial services sector with an in-depth understanding of risk management and finance systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of BI tools, data warehousing, and data modelling (DataVault, dimensional modelling).
• Proficiency in SQL, and experience with data integration tools such as Informatica.
• Knowledge of financial reporting processes and systems.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
