Lead Business Analyst (Hybrid)

Manchester Up to £57,000 + Bonus Contract

Having partnered exclusively and retained with a tech-for-good, Manchester-based startup, they are on the lookout for a Lead Business Analyst to help scale the team after recently securing a round of funding to support further enhancement of their product doing great for ours and our children's futures.

Hybrid, Manchester (2-3 days a week)

About the Role:

  • Building out the analyst team, refining targets and team structure and roles with supporting of recruitment and setting BA standards
  • Work closely with Product, CTO and lead developers for design and documentation of requirements for new functionality, assessing any client impact for changes of existing and new functions
  • Describe User stories and requirements Acceptance Criteria, addressing questions arising while reqs are being developed
  • Support the team and wider organisation, developing automated tests, manual tests and prep of the data


About You:

  • 5+ years BA experience within software
  • Experienced in management of small teams of up to 5 direct reports
  • Proven ability to support testing on new software projects
  • Experience in data centric role, such as financial, compliance, reporting, etc.
  • Proactive and collaborative, not afraid to speak up on beliefs of what direction to take
  • Strong leadership mindset to enable the team be the best they can


Initially reporting to the CTO with no direct reports, the plan is to hire 3-5 within the first 12 months of the role so it's an exciting opportunity to build out a team from scratch.
