Java Software Engineer

Are you an experienced Java Developer looking for challenging projects, modern technology, and strong opportunities for development?

I’m working with a specialist software consultancy that partners with leading organisations across finance, government, mobility, and logistics. You’ll work on high-impact applications used by large numbers of users, within experienced Agile and DevOps teams.

The role:

• Develop and improve scalable Java applications
• Contribute to architecture, technical decisions, and software quality
• Work within Scrum/Agile and DevOps environments
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and share technical knowledge
• Depending on the project, work across backend and potentially frontend development

Tech stack: Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin, Maven, Docker, OpenShift, GitLab, CI/CD, AI and DevOps.

What they’re looking for:

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience
• Experience building applications at scale
• Strong knowledge of Java/Spring Boot
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and DevOps environments
• HBO/WO education or equivalent experience
• An interest in frontend development alongside your backend expertise
• Fluency in Dutch due to communication with customers
