Frontend Mobile Engineer

Oakwell Hampton have partnered with a start-up sportsbook with 12.5 Million in total funding looking to revolutionize the way we bet on sports, by allowing their punters to set and dictate their own odds.

They are seeking a Mobile Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team. It will be the first Mobile Engineering hire so provides an amazing opportunity to set the technical standards for the company going forward.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain scalable and performant user interfaces using React and React Native.
• Develop intuitive, user-friendly features to enhance the customer experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless integration of backend and frontend technologies.
• Take ownership of critical UI components and workflows that drive user engagement.
• Diagnose and resolve compatibility issues across devices and browsers.
• Strike the perfect balance between functional and aesthetic design.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience with TypeScript, React, React Native, Node.js, and GraphQL (or similar technologies).
• A strong interest in markets, systems, and complex software engineering problems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a small, fast-paced team environment.
