pharma companies, we are operating at the most exciting intersection of AI and biotech.

We are seeking an elite Founding Scientific Data Scientist who is a scientist first and a system builder second. You will not just analyze data—you will architect the systems that ensure absolute scientific rigor and train the next generation of AI models to discover breakthrough therapeutics.

What You Will Do

• Own Data Quality End-to-End: Personally examine, validate, and enforce strict scientific rigor at every stage of the data lifecycle to ensure AI models do not make critical errors in biological or clinical reasoning.
• "Red-Team" Biological AI: Design adversarial prompts, benchmark models, and stress-test Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI tools to surface failure modes and gaps in core biological understanding.
• Build Scalable Pipelines: Architect end-to-end, first-of-their-kind pipelines that integrate complex, raw functional assay and multi-omics data with machine learning models (e.g., AlphaMissense, REVEL).
• Lead Expert Networks: Direct cross-institutional strategy and run day-to-day operations by managing a distributed network of PhD-level expert contractors across multiple concurrent projects.
• Translate Science into AI: Act as the critical bridge between wet-lab biology and AI engineering, translating complex client scientific needs into precise data specifications.

Who You Are

• Education: You hold a Ph.D. in Genome Sciences, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a closely related life sciences field.
• AI Training & Evaluation Experience: You have hands-on experience evaluating, calibrating, and benchmarking machine learning models in high-stakes biological or clinical settings (such as resolving uncertainties in genetic testing).
• Operational Execution: You have a proven ability to manage expert contributors and run complex, large-scale data integration projects under real deadline pressure.
• Builder Mentality: You are detail-obsessed, fast-moving, and thrive in an agile, high-uncertainty startup environment.
