Development Manager (On-site role)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high-performing team of 5 developers, with a focus on growth and development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and oversee the development process.
  • Accurately estimate development efforts and allocate resources according to the pipeline.
  • Hold daily huddles and fortnightly 1-2-1s with developers to guide their career development.
  • Attend cross-company huddles to integrate efforts and address pain points.
  • Assign work, monitor SLAs, and manage bug prioritization based on the product roadmap.
  • Identify and address resource gaps within the development team.
  • Conduct interviews and contribute to the hiring process for new team members.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to development leads, fostering their technical and soft skills growth.
  • Oversee professional development and training programs for the team.
  • Ensure alignment of development goals with the company’s overall objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with projects requiring high flexibility and customization.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience growing and managing development teams.
  • Technical background, with the ability to understand and challenge approaches as needed.
