Business Intelligence Analyst (Remote)

Manchester 45K - 55K Permanent

Location: Fully remote (occasional meet-ups for social events in Manchester office)

Salary: £45,000-£55,000 + Bonus & Benefits

A leading SaaS provider and tech for good company is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to support their mission of developing cutting-edge data products. This organisation is known for delivering predictive analytical software, which has helped customers achieve significant savings in the social housing sector. You'll be joining an ambitious, innovation-driven Data & Insights team, collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and senior BI experts to create meaningful insights within a business renowned for winning many awards, including recently an AI Innovations award.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements and transform them into actionable delivery plans.
  • Design and develop interactive Power BI/Tableau dashboards that deliver clear, actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure robust, high-performance data pipelines.
  • Continuously enhance existing dashboards to improve the user experience and insight quality.
  • Ensure high data quality across dashboards, maintaining best practices for monitoring and version control.

Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to enable them to maximise the value of dashboards and reports.


Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in business intelligence, with 4+ years of commercial experience using Power BI (including DAX) and Tableau.
  • Skilled in SQL with expertise in complex queries, performance tuning, and database design
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
  • Proven experience in requirement gathering, dashboard wireframing, and data visualisation best practices.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and working within cloud environments (AWS).
  • Degree in related field, 2:1 minimum


Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Python for data engineering and visualisation.
  • Strong statistical skills and knowledge of Linux and Shell .
