Azure Data Engineer

We are looking for a talented Azure Data Engineer to join our growing data team in Brussels.

In this role, you will design, develop, and optimise scalable data solutions in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, enabling the organisation to transform raw data into valuable business insights. You will collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to build high-performance data infrastructure that supports strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Azure services (e.g. Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
• Develop and manage scalable data lake and data warehouse solutions on Azure.
• Optimise data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Work with stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver actionable datasets.
• Implement data governance, quality, and security best practices across all platforms.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, ideally with cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python, and data modelling.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, version control, and data lifecycle management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
• Fluent in English (French or Dutch is a plus).
